Casa Luna Hotel, La Fortuna, Costa Rica
This tour, which begins at 7:30 a.m. gives you the opportunity, in a single day, to enjoy all attractions that we have at the Arenal region!
To Start the tour you have the choice to visit Eco Centro Danaus or the Arenal Hanging Bridges. At the Eco Center you will observe and learn about the natural history of the butterflies of Costa Rica such as the Blue Morpho and the Monarca. The Hanging Bridges consist of a 1.9 mile (3.1 km) hike trough a trail where you can enjoy the rain forest flora and fauna. The trail crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees so anyone can do it. Our next stop is La Fortuna Waterfall. Following lunch you’ll have the opportunity to rest until 3:00 p.m. before starting the Volcano hike. We will choose one of several trails depending on which side of the volcano the lava is coming down, on all the trails you will see a wide variety of plants and wildlife. At Los Tucanes trail you will have the opportunity to walk on old lava flow and on trails, at the end of the hike you will enjoy the sunset, waiting until dark hopping to see and hear the glowing chunks of lava tumbling down the side of the mountain, a sight you won’t soon forget.
